Baseball: The correct way

There are so many pieces of the game of baseball we don't often don't take the time to teach. This week, we have been taking the time to touch on different pieces of the game we don't often talk about.

For example, Do you know the difference between a ball and a strike? We swing and swing, but the ability to take balls and swing at strikes is a skill. Do you practice it?

Or how much effort are you putting into baserunning? Baserunning is one of the ways people evaluate effort and instinct for the game. Do you put in enough time to make it a positive for your game?

To train your game, you have to also train your mind. The time between pitches is where the mental game happens. Learn how to control the time in between and you have a step up on the competition.

The game of baseball isn't just the hitter vs. pitcher battle. There are many more things that happen in a single game. The question is are you building a well-rounded player?
